Some may call it being at the right place at the right time…but they like to call it fate.

Marquis and Sarah’s story began on a Saturday evening in July at a quaint bar just outside Austin, TX. Sarah was having a drink with her friend Jennifer. Meanwhile, Marquis and his sister Maurene had just finished dinner and happened to stop in. Seating was slim and the four shared a picnic table.

Marquis later revealed it wasn’t chance that they shared a table, saying he saw Sarah walk in and “wasn’t going to let her get away.” Once seated, he wasted no time in introducing himself and Maurene, making sure to mention “sister” enough times to get the point across…this is Sarah’s favorite part of the story to tell.

Together the four of them spent the evening sharing stories, Dos XX, and lots of laughs.

The next weekend Marquis invited Sarah to come explore Horseshoe Bay and the surrounding area. Maybe it was the mimosa sunset over Lake LBJ or his cool ’74 Ford Bronco, but the two have been inseparable ever since.

During a Valentine’s Day trip to Breckenridge, Marquis decided to make it official by proposing on the mountain…and the rest is history.
